DIN 933 hex bolts are fully threaded bolts, with threads extending along the entire shaft up to beneath the head. The specified bolt length is measured to beneath the head and excludes the head height. Hex bolts are used to connect metal parts together with hex nuts and washers. They are also called wrench bolts because they are tightened with a wrench. They are suitable for general use, especially where the bolts may need to be retightened or where there is insufficient space to use a screwdriver positioned vertically.
